The Beams in collaboration with The Factory present the Centre For New Culture.
Set over 20,000 square metres of unused buildings and yards, The Beams is a limitless space supporting creative discovery. Featuring original architectural features such as exposed brick walls, steel pillars and expansive concrete floors that can facilitate any creative pursuit, from filming and photo-shoots to brand experiences and awards dinners.
The Factory was founded to provide more affordable creative workspace within the Borough of Newham, with a focus on community projects.
In partnership, with a shared philosophy and similar goal, we oversee a vast and accessible creative hub hosting a diverse mix of enterprises, big and small. Life’s better when you work together.

VISITING THE BEAMS
IS PARKING AVAILABLE ON SITE?
The Beams offers multiple external spaces that can be hired for shoots, unit bases and production parking.
There is no guest parking on site.
Limited spaces are available for Blue Badge holders, if required, please discuss with your venue contact.
WHAT ARE THE TRANSPORT LINKS TO THE VENUE?
Located in the Royal Docks, the Beams is easily accessible by the DLR and is only a short distance from London City Airport.

WHAT TYPE OF EVENTS CAN I HOST AT THE BEAMS?
We are a multi-purpose event and filming space, with masses of flexibility to host a range of event types.
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE VENUE?

WHAT IS THE LATEST YOU CAN ACCOMMODATE MY EVENT?
Live Event times are between 08:00 and 23:00, however we can consider an extension upon request.
IS SMOKING PERMITTED?
Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside the venue. Please discuss with your venue contact to establish a designated outdoor smoking area.
ACCESSIBILITY
All event spaces are accessible for wheel chair users or those with access needs. Accessible parking is available and can be arranged with the event organiser. We also have a dedicated accessible toilet. Please get in touch if you have any requirements you would like to discuss.
CAN WE USE EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS?
Please find the link to our supplier pack for more information. If you would like a direct introduction to one of our suppliers, we’d be delighted to assist. Please get in touch with your venue contact if you wish to use an external supplier, subject to venue approval.
IS THERE WIFI AVAILABLE?
Yes, we have basic guest wifi suitable for limited users. Anything that requires more than this will need to be sourced via our preferred partner, Noba.
WHO CAN I CONTACT FOR LOST PROPERTY AFTER AN EVENT/SHOOT?
Please contact the event organiser directly; all property left behind will be passed back to them.
IS THE VENUE EXCLUSIVE FOR MY EVENT/ SHOOT?
You will have exclusive access to the spaces you have hired only. Please note, the Beams is located on a shared site with other tenants.
DO YOU HAVE AN ON-SITE KITCHEN? IF SO CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN CATERER?
No, we do not have an on-site kitchen at the venue. Our preferred caterers will establish the need for a satellite kitchen to be built in response to your event plans. If you wish to use a non-accredited caterer, please discuss this with your venue contact.
CAN WE USE HAZE OR DRONES DURING OUR EVENT/ SHOOT?
Any use of drones indoors and outdoors needs approval granted from London City Airport. Any use of haze outdoors also needs approval granted from London City Airport. Please reach out to your venue contact if you require any support.
CAN I BRING NUTS ON SITE?
No. The Beams operates that nuts and nut-based products are strictly prohibited on-site.

IS THERE DRIVE-IN ACCESS?
Yes. Space One offers drive-in access for automotive launches, film shoots or event that require a vehicle for display purposes. The venue’s exterior spaces have ample access for vehicles.
